Professional Development from the HeartMath Institute 

Research at the HeartMath Institute in CA has demonstrated the long term health benefits of spending as much of our time as possible in “regenerative” emotional states, like…joy…gratitude…compassion…. The problem is that after a negative event, most of us mentally revisit and replay the event and rehearse being in “depleting” emotional states, like…frustration…anger…overwhelm. Over time, this negative state begins to feel like a “normal” baseline.

Renae has developed a 1-hour group workshop that is designed to:

  1. Review the science behind HeartMath techniques

  2. Introduce and practice several techniques that can be used in-the-moment during the work day to shift from a depleting to a regenerative emotional state

  3. Practice a technique that works to change your baseline to one that is positive, healthier and more physiologically coherent.

As we all know, change doesn’t happen after a one-hour training. To support ongoing behavior change for attendees of the workshops who would like to participate, Renae will provide 4 weeks of follow-up emails which include reminders to practice, audio recordings of stress management techniques and resources for ongoing learning.
